Okay, So I have a really funny teacher tale that had me laughing for a good five minutes during class. Just a disclaimer that all names other than my own have been changed for the privacy of my silly students.
It all started with me giving Stan a new notebook for warm-ups. He asked to barrow a marker to write his name on the notebook, but he grabbed one of my wet-erase, vis a vi, markers. I told him he'd have to re-write his name using another marker because that one will wipe off. A girl who was sitting close by asked me if the marker was really wet-erase, so I showed them both by spraying the notebook with water and wiping it clean. Stan shrugged and grabbed a sharpie marker off my cart and re-wrote his name on the notebook. The girl Daisy asked to see the vis a vi marker and I handed it to her without even thinking twice about it. The next thing I know she is writing her name on a piece of paper with the marker. I asked her not to write anything else on the paper with the marker, because it was not for paper. While I was giving her this instruction she picked up my spray bottle and doused her paper with water. Then she began to wipe it with a paper towel. I looked at her dumbfounded and ask what she was doing. "You said it was wet-erase, and it worked on his notebook!" I was laughing so hard that it took me a few min. to explain to Daisy that the wet-erase only worked on glossy surfaces like glass and the cover of the notebook. Daisy is not a blond, but she has several blond moments like this one. I'm sure she will be a frequent visitor to my blogs!
